Kids yoga classes are held weekly and offered on an ongoing basis during the school year (No classes Memorial Day through Labor Day). Register in your name online to reserve a space for your child or simply drop in. Drop off your child or wait in our reception area.

For kids classes ages 6 and up, we kindly ask that you provide a yoga mat for your child, it's just cleaner that way. But, if you forget to bring it, you can always rent one of ours.

Preschoolers will use their imagination as we combine simple yoga poses and creative movement with engaging songs, puppets, and stories. In this playful class children will strengthen their bodies and minds as they learn how to focus through breathing and relaxation techniques. Mindful movement is introduced as each class embarks on adventures incorporating yoga poses to build strength and increase flexibility. Boys and girls will also learn the power of breath for focus and relaxation to provide a healthy foundation for their elementary school years.

kids Yoga (Ages 7, 8, 9, 10)

In this class children will be encouraged to “play” yoga and experience how their breath and body move together in a fun-filled way. Through yoga poses, creative movement, games, music and stories children develop strength, flexibility, coordination, and body awareness. Breathing and visualization techniques teach focus, relaxation and self control. 

 

KIDS YOGA FOR TWEENS (AGES 10, 11, 12, 13)

Yoga is so much fun for your 'tween! Yoga instruction in this class is alive, playful, stimulating, and instills the joy, happiness, and positive self-image that comes with starting yoga at this pivotal age. Your child will learn aspects of self-management, breathing techniques for school stress, home stress, or friend stress! Music is playful and engaging, and the environment nothing but positive and special. Plus, they will move, spend time sharing, and relaxing at the end of class in savasana. It's a great way for boys and girls to get together and have a great time on a yoga mat. It's an activity that's as unique as your child! 

 

MINDFULNESS FOR KIDS (AGES 5, 6, 7)

Mindfulness is great mental training for kids at any age. Mindfulness can help your child handle stress, become happier, kinder, and more compassionate. With games, books, and innovative breathing and movement exercises, your child will develop his or her own innate capabilities for awareness, calm, and self care. In a fun and playful atmosphere, kids will learn focus, empathy, kindness, compassion, generosity, and leadership. Each class will have a different theme from honesty to leadership, acceptance to optimism. Your child will learn skillful ways to navigate their range of emotions from the inside out! 

 

Sensory-focused kids yoga (ages 5, 6, 7, 8)

A sensory-based children’s yoga class focusing on mindfulness, self-regulation (or coping) and promoting positive social interactions in a fun atmosphere. Sensory-focused yoga helps children to stay alert, reduces stress and depression, helps build relationships, calms and strengthens body and mind, helps balance and improves body awareness. Open to ALL  children, but geared especially for those with all levels of sensory, emotional and physical needs (ADD, ADHD, asperger syndrome, autism, delayed speech, and more).
