Yoga has been proven to help aid and heal the cycle of anxiety and stress in the body. With careful attention to the central nervous system, physical movement, and breathing, Michelle St. Laurent will guide you toward your own gateway for calm and ease.
Each of the three class sequences is specifically designed to bring about ease and calm whether your anxiety is the all-too-common low-grade, ambient form or the full-tilt chronic version. Care will be taken to make sure your experience is comfortable from start to finish. All levels are welcome.
Michelle St. Laurent is currently studying to receive her yoga teacher certification from Innerlight Center for Yoga & Meditation in Middletown, RI. These classes are part of her training and she offers them as a seva (selfless service). Students are welcome to make a gift of generosity (däna) to the Anchor Chain Fund.
About Michelle: "My name is Michelle St. Laurent and I have been practicing yoga since 1999. I was at a gym one day when a woman I used to take aerobics class with asked me to try a yoga class. This was the day my life changed forever. I had suffered from acute anxiety and would work out for a couple hours a day to tire myself out. I started practicing Ashtanga and Kripalu Yoga regularly at Innerlight, where my life was transformed. My anxiety had diminished and I felt happy again. I am now a student at Innerlight Yoga where I am working on my 200-hour certification. I am excited to share with others my passion for yoga and all the benefits it has to offer."
