Surrender into this blissful and revitalizing yoga and sound experience on Sun, May 7.
Joelene Marinone with special guest, sound healer Paula Lazaroff, will guide you into a profound exploration of body, mind, and spirit. Restorative Yoga is a meditative yoga practice of deep, aware, relaxation. It is the yoga of "being" rather than the yoga of "doing". As your body releases into soothing, supported poses, your muscles utterly relax and melt into the shape of the posture, rather than pushing and forcing them. Restorative yoga releases deeply held tensions, soothes the nervous system, strengthens the immune system, and feeds your spirit. Rebalance your inner spirit and experience a sense of deep peace as you surrender into the poses serenaded by meditative sound vibrations of the gongs and singing bowls. All levels welcome, no prior experience necessary.
Cost: $35. Pre-registration is required to attend. Space is limited, so reserve your spot today!
Joelene was drawn to the healing benefits of yoga after many years of pain and injury due to accidents and stress. The profound physical, mental, and spiritual communion she felt while doing yoga was not matched by anything else she had tried previously. She became a yoga instructor to share this wonderful healing modality with all who are interested. Her curiosity for healing remedies inspired her to train in Reiki ll, Positional Therapy, Cranial Sacral Therapy, Matrix Energetics, Healing Touch, Transcendental Meditation, The Way of the Shaman, Pilates, and many different types of yoga such as Kundalini, Iyengar, Anusara, Restorative, and Yin, all of which add to her teaching and understanding of embodiment. Joelene believes that yoga truly is a healing practice of mind/body and a wonderful way to spend time with yourself.
Paula is owner of Essential Healing Arts, a private practice providing individual sessions combining somatic bodywork, sacred sound healing, energy medicine, shamanic journeying, cranial-sacral therapy, classes on meditation and sound healing, guided sound meditations, and community ceremonies.
