Mandalas: Create and Meditate

Using the art of the mandala to connect to the present moment is at once both meditatively grounded and creatively stimulating. The mandala form has been around for millennia in Asian cultures; the word mandala simply means "circle." In this workshop, you will be able to choose a design yourself, or let your design choose you. You will then be guided into a practice of meditation, pranayama (breath work), and encouraged to listen deeply to your heart's intention for the month ahead. Each month, we will explore a different color and its relevance to the chakras as well as dive into a different theme such as love, kindness, friendliness, compassion, play, prosperity, unity, and harmony.

We will color mostly in silence for roughly 45 minutes, then we will share our experiences with the group. This class is less about making something 'look perfect' and more about noticing the moment-to-moment experience of creativity, breath, and energetic flow. Paper and colors provided. You are more than welcome to keep your mandala!

Drop in for $15 or use your class pass! This class is held on the fourth Friday of the month.
